Meet the Family

Mike grew up in Aruba, surrounded by the island’s natural beauty and vibrant culture. After heading to Miami for college, he returned in 2013 to live his island dream—enjoying a quick 10-minute commute to work and the endless opportunities for outdoor adventures that Aruba has to offer.

Amanda, originally from Venezuela, has always loved Aruba’s stunning beaches and tropical atmosphere. Now, she takes pride in managing the property and winding down her days with a glass of wine, reflecting on the joy of creating unforgettable stays for their guests.

Victoria and Amaya, their daughters, are the heart of the family. They love welcoming guests and sharing their enthusiasm for Aruba’s incredible beaches and laid-back lifestyle.

In 2015, the family started with a small Airbnb property in their home, initially intended for visiting relatives. It didn’t take long before it became a highly sought-after rental, prompting the family to expand their vision. Today, Modern Hotel Aruba is a boutique property that combines the best of island living with the warmth of a family touch. Hosting happy travelers from around the world is their dream job, and they cherish the opportunity to provide a peaceful, unforgettable retreat in paradise.
